Delhi University 2024 BTech Counseling Registrations Open

University of Delhi has started online registrations for Counseling / Seat allocation for 2024-25 admissions in its 3 new BTech courses which it started offering in 2023.

As was the case last year, admission in these new courses shall be on the basis of merit of All India Rank in JEE-Mains.

It may please be noted that University of Delhi is also running another programme namely BTech (ITMI) for more than last 10 years, the admission to which is done separately through a different counseling process and admission is on the basis of CUET.

Courses offered: BTech (i) Computer Science and Engineering (ii) Electronics and Communication Engineering (iii) Electrical Engineering

Intake (in each stream)

a) Sanctioned strength

UR: 48 seats

OBC-NCL: 33 seats

SC: 18 seats

ST: 9 seats

EWS: 12 seats

b) Supernumerary seats

PwBD: 6 seats

CW: 6 seats

KM: 1 seat

FNSQ – SAARC countries: 4 seats

FNSQ – Other countries: 8 seats

Admission criteria: For the academic year 2024-25, admission to the B.Tech. programs of UoD will be done on the basis of the All India Common Rank List (CRL) of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) Paper-I, 2024,

Minimum Eligibility

1. Candidate must have passed Class XII or its equivalent from a single recognized board.

2. Must have secured 60% (50% for SC / ST / PwBD and 55% for OBC-NCL) or more marks in an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination level.

3. Must have appeared in JEE (Main) Paper-I, 2024.

Candidates who have appeared at the Class XII examination in the year 2024 and have been placed in compartment (supplementary) will not be eligible for admission for the year 2024-25.

Applications window: 25 Apr to 25 May 2024

Dates for seat allocation and admission schedule will be announced later.

How to apply: Applications need to be submitted online on UoD’s website.

The online application process will be considered completed only after the realization of the Registration fee. The candidate must ensure that the Registration fee is submitted only through the UoD admission portal. Registration fee deposited via any other link or mode other than the payment link provided by UoD will not be considered under any circumstances.

It is advisable to fill the form through a desktop/laptop. Avoid filling the form using a mobile phone.

Application fee is Rs.1,500/- for UR / OBC-NCL / EWS and Rs.1,200/- for SC / ST / PwD candidates.

Mid entry facility - Candidates who failed to register within the stipulated time and are desirous of participating later can participate through the Mid-Entry window (as and when announced by the University). Such a candidate can do so by paying a Mid-Entry fee of Rs.2,500/- (non-refundable).
